Jenn Cleary is an award-winning singer-songwriter, performer, and educator based in Boulder, Colorado. Known for her soulful vocals, engaging performances, and thoughtful songwriting, Jenn blends folk, rock, and blues with music that encourages curiosity, connection, kindness, and fun.
Jenn has released an extensive catalog of music for both adults and families. Her children’s albums All Together Now! (2021), Happy Day (2022), and Dreamland: Relax & Imagine (2024) have received numerous honors, including NAPPA Awards, the Parent & Teacher Choice Award, and the Family Choice Award. Her family music ranges from playful, energetic songs to calming bedtime music, while often exploring themes of nature, inclusion, imagination, and caring for one another.
Jenn has performed throughout the United States and internationally, with appearances ranging from festivals and community events to Colorado Rockies games, the Sundance Film Festival, the Mishawaka Amphitheatre, and multiple European tours. She performs for both adult and family audiences and enjoys creating music that can bring generations together.
Her approach to children’s music is informed by a lifetime of working with, supporting, and raising children. Jenn co-founded nonprofit organizations supporting education and children, including a K–12 school in her Colorado community and an organization providing housing, education, and medical support for children in Nepal. She has also been a foster parent and raised three children of her own.
In addition to performing and recording, Jenn teaches and mentors other songwriters and independent artists. She has been a faculty member at the Rocky Mountain Song School and is currently at Song Camp Europe and has taught workshops on children’s songwriting, independent music careers, releasing and marketing music, and incorporating family music into an artist’s broader repertoire.
Whether she is writing a song that gets a roomful of kids singing and moving or creating something quiet and reflective, Jenn’s goal is the same: to make music that helps people feel more connected—to themselves, to one another, and to the world around them.
