2025 Spring Fundraiser: This Little Light of MineThe Children’s Music Network’s Pete Seeger Scholarship Fund, established in 2014, shortly after Pete’s passing, honors his deep belief in CMN’s mission and his lasting impact on children’s music. Pete was among our earliest members and was an annual conference attendee! While his family never accepted a monetary award in his name, they graciously allowed us to dedicate this scholarship in his name. For 10 years, this fund has provided financial assistance for conference attendees! Help us continue this tradition for another 10 years and beyond. Over the past five years, the fund has been depleted—as conference costs have nearly doubled. With our 2025 “Time to Shine” Conference taking place in Los Angeles this September, we need your help to ensure more members can attend—regardless of financial barriers. We have ONE week to fund scholarships for this year's conference! We're only at one quarter of our goal! So this is your chance to help ensure as many who want are able to come! To make it easy to share, we've created an IndieGoGo- take a look, you'll love it and then share it on your social and of course, if you haven't yet, Add YOUR voice to the choir! And you can always add another verse!! https://www.indiegogo.com/projects/pete-seeger-scholarship-fund/x/38655859#/ Thanks to our Fundraising Team, Wiley Rankin, Christine Petrini, and Jeff Klemm for creating this campaign and great video! And we THANK YOU! Recognition Levels:
As a part of your donation, we’d love to have you as part of a fun collaboration: if you choose, you can add a verse to “This Little Light of Mine” when you donate. We supply the track and you supply the light! We will edit all the submissions together and post to our website. Anyone who donates at least $25 can submit themselves singing one verse. Anyone who donates $50 or more can submit video footage (alone or in addition to their verse). The final collaborative video project will be shared on our website, social media, etc. Once we receive your donation we will send you instructions for your verse!! We need YOU! Pete, a folk musician and social justice activist, believed in the power of music to change lives. His musical legacy lives on through this fund and you can be part of it! Every gift matters to our community of children’s musicians, educators and librarians. Your gift is tax-deductible through our 501(c)(3) nonprofit. |
